My mother just fed my sister pork dumplings, assuring her it was just vegetables, and my mom isn’t sorry, and my sister is sobbing. A similar thing happened to me when I first became one, and just. Ugh. My mom is not sorry in the slightest and just yelled at us about starving. My sister and I have trouble separating meat from the death of animals and the imagery, and it’s just not for us. Our parents have a hard time accepting. I’m just so sad. Hell would be raised if we ever wanted to be vegans. Like ever.
