Hello, you may call me SP. It's a nickname I procured somewhere else on the Internet. I've grown somewhat attached to it. I'm tortured by Glee. This blog contains much pertaining to that show; however, it houses multiple fandoms. Politics are here as well.
More information (ships, spouses, crappy edits) can be found by navigating the buttons below my sidebar image. Warning: I have a particular distaste for Wemma, Finchel, and Quick. I love taking pictures. (The background and sidebar image are via my lovely point and shoot.)

Someone in the Quartie tag on twitter had the audacity to cite Quartie as not being a good pairing because clearly Quinn is out of Artie’s league (direct quote: “talk about dating out of your league”).

Really?  So two people who are intellectually equal, who have many shared experiences and have small moments of understanding (one for the other and vice versa) are not in the same league?

And talking about leagues, regardless, seems wrong to me.  It’s just perpetuating stereotypes that normalize the concept that some people are above others.  Haven’t we had enough of the “isms”?  I know I have.

The only person who should be deciding what league Artie is in is Quinn. If he’s in the league of the guys she would consider dating, that’s the end of it. He’s in her league. For example, I’m sure a rude, yet handsome, even intelligent, boy would be completely brushed off by Quinn, though stereotypically he would fit into the social hierarchy people place her in; however, he would still not be in her league.
